about

If you’ve never heard a melody in the time signature of 22/16, you’re about to hear your first! It’s from the town of Sandanski in the southwest corner of Bulgaria and also is performed across the border in Macedonia. Matt thinks
this one is easier to count as “taco-taco-taco-burrito, taco-taco-taco-burrito, taco-taco.” If you say that fast enough, you’ll have the 22 syllables to match up
to the rhythm!
